How I got here
I spent a decade at hypergrowth startups.
When ChatGPT came out, I decided to get good at this while it was still bad. I built things, broke them, and asked the models every dumb question I could think of.
Then I liquidated my 401(k) to go full time on AI, paying for GPT-4 API calls myself. It showed me where generative technology was going, and how it was likely to transform and augment how we think, how we create, and what we can use it for.
I kept going. First I worked with one agent, then a few, then many, across software, research, media, and the boring work between all three.
Now I advise investors, startup founders, and operators on the bleeding-edge capabilities I live with, showing you what's possible today and how that changes how we live, work, and create.
When something keeps working, I teach it. When it doesn't, I say so.
Some things I've made
- My series with Reid Hoffman: We talk about how people, companies, and founders use AI.
- Possible, in Many Languages: We remade one conversation with AI voices, and native speakers checked each version.
- Tokens to the Future: My videos with people using AI to make films, grow an audience, create art, build games, and work on robots.
- My MasterClass: Revolutionize Your Workflows With AI, co-taught with Erik Brynjolfsson and Cat Goetze.
- Bangers: Multiplayer games I make with agents. They run right in your browser.
- ManiMage: Short animated lessons about how AI works. Each one stands on its own.
- The Nightly Byte: An AI-made late-night comedy show. Still in the works.
